I really liked this book. It's a good start for learning about drums and sound recording. However, one area in there was questioned by my drum instructor and another source. Regarding, normalization. I won't go into what that is, that's what the book is for, but I will say that those I talked to stated that normalization may not be a good thing to do because it changes the nature of the sound and can't turn it off once it is applied. Unless you "undo" the change, prior to saving your project.

But, I still think this book is worth reading to gain a better understanding of the subject.
